These tokens are perfect for purchasing fresh local produce from the participating vendors, who will have signage at their booths for community events.
SNAP shoppers can enjoy free matching dollars on fresh local produce, including fruits, vegetables, and herbs. This initiative is a fantastic way to double your purchasing power and bring home even more delicious items from your local farmers market!

By shopping at our local farmers market, you're not only supporting small businesses but also contributing to community events that keep our local economy thriving. Plus, you'll enjoy fresh local produce and delicious food.

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) helps eligible seniors access fresh local produce, such as fruits, vegetables, and honey, while supporting Rhode Island farmers and strengthening our state’s agricultural economy. This initiative is part of our community events aimed at promoting local agriculture. Each eligible senior receives a $50 benefit card to spend with participating local farmers market vendors or a produce box valued at $50 filled with locally grown food. More: www.dem.ri.gov/sfmnp

Eligible WIC participants will receive $25 worth of Farmer’s Market Benefits for the season, which can be used from June through October at local farmers markets. WIC participants will receive a card with QR code stickers that link to their FMNP benefits. At the time of purchase, the farmer will scan the participant’s QR code sticker. All WIC authorized farmers can provide WIC participants with a balance inquiry upon request.
