Fresh Bucks
You can use your credit or debit card at the Welcome Table to receive Fresh Bucks tokens, which can be used like cash with most vendors throughout the local farmers' market. These tokens are perfect for purchasing fresh local produce from the participating vendors, who will have signage at their booths for community events.

Food Access at the Farmers' Market - local produce
Shoppers using WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits, Senior FMNP benefits, SNAP/EBT, or other market benefit programs are encouraged to stop by the market table for help identifying participating vendors and eligible local produce.
*Benefit eligibility varies by program and vendor. Please confirm the eligibility of items directly with the participating farmer before purchase.
WIC Farmer’s Market Benefits
Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)
Eligible WIC participants will receive $30 worth of Farmer’s Market Benefits for the season, which can be used from June through October at local farmers' markets. WIC participants will receive a card with QR code stickers that link to their FMNP benefits.
At the time of purchase, the farmer will scan the participant’s QR code sticker. All WIC authorized farmers can provide WIC participants with a balance inquiry upon request.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) helps eligible seniors access fresh local produce, such as fruits, vegetables, and honey, while supporting Rhode Island farmers and strengthening our state’s agricultural economy. This initiative is part of our community events aimed at promoting local agriculture.
Each eligible senior receives either a $50 benefit card to spend with participating local farmers market vendors or a $50 produce box filled with locally grown food.

SNAP shoppers can enjoy free matching dollars on fresh local produce, including fruits, vegetables, and herbs. This initiative is a fantastic way to double your purchasing power and bring home even more delicious items from your local farmer's market!
