Vendor Information for Burrillville Farmers Market

Vendor Applications

Vendor applications are accepted online in accordance with Rhode Island regulations.

Who May Apply

The Burrillville Farmers Market welcomes: 


  • Local farms and growers 
  • Food producers and value-added agricultural businesses 
  • Artisans and handcrafted goods makers 
  • Agricultural and farm-related products 
  • Specialty food producers who comply with Rhode Island regulations 


Priority is given to vendors offering locally grown, raised, or produced products that align with the market’s agricultural mission. Additionally, vendors interested in participating must have SNAP authorization; priority will be given to those who submit applications that meet these criteria.


Vendor Expectations

Approved vendors are expected to: 


  • Operate during scheduled market hours 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional booth space 
  • Accurately represent products as grown, produced, or made by the vendor 
  • Follow all applicable state and local laws and Rhode Island regulations 
  • Carry any required permits, certifications, or insurance, including SNAP authorization if applicable 


Failure to comply with market policies or regulatory requirements may result in removal from the market.


Licensing & Compliance

Vendors are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required licenses, permits, and certifications prior to selling, in accordance with Rhode Island regulations. Depending on the product type, this may include:


  • Rhode Island Department of Health food licensing 
  • Farm registration or agricultural permits 
  • Sales tax compliance (if applicable) 
  • Cottage food compliance 
  • Food safety certification 
  • Any required local or state inspections. 


Additionally, vendors seeking to participate in programs like SNAP authorization must ensure they meet all criteria. The Burrillville Farmers Market Association does not issue licenses and assumes no responsibility for vendor regulatory compliance, including vendor applications.
