Become a Vendor at the Burrillville Farmers’ Market

BFMA welcomes local farms, growers, agricultural producers, food producers, and other eligible vendors who support our agricultural mission. Apply for Saturdays in Harrisville, Thursdays in Pascoag, or both.

Approved vendors may apply for one or both Burrillville Farmers’ Market locations.

Pascoag Location
August 6 – October 29, 2026
4:00–7:00 PM
Fountain Square Park
55 Pascoag Main Street, Pascoag


Vendor fee: $20 per approved market date, payable as you vend.


All vendors must be approved by BFMA before selling and must comply with applicable licensing and market requirements.

Vendor Information for Burrillville Farmers Market

Who May Apply & Vendor Applications

Priority is given to vendors offering locally grown, raised, or produced products that align with the market’s agricultural mission. 


SNAP/EBT authorization is not required to apply or participate. 


Among otherwise qualified applicants, preference may be given to eligible food vendors who are currently authorized or interested in becoming authorized to accept WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits, and to vendors willing to accept SNAP/EBT through BFMA’s centralized market system or through their own USDA authorization. 


All vendors must be approved by BFMA before selling.

Vendor Expectations

Vendor Expectations

Approved vendors are expected to: 


  • Operate during scheduled market hours 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional booth space 
  • Accurately represent products as grown, produced, or made by the vendor 
  • Follow all applicable state and local laws and Rhode Island regulations 
  • Carry all permits, certifications, licenses, insurance, and program authorizations applicable to the products being sold and the programs in which the vendor chooses to participate. 


Failure to comply with market policies or regulatory requirements may result in removal from the market.

Licensing & Compliance

Vendors are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required licenses, permits, and certifications before selling, in accordance with Rhode Island regulations. Depending on the product type, this may include:


  • Rhode Island Department of Health food licensing 
  • Farm registration or agricultural permits 
  • Sales tax compliance (if applicable) 
  • Cottage food compliance 
  • Food safety certification 
  • Any required local or state inspections. 


Vendors choosing to participate in WIC FMNP, Senior FMNP, SNAP/EBT, or another food-access program must meet the requirements of that program. BFMA does not issue state or federal licenses or authorizations and cannot provide legal or regulatory advice.

Rhode Island Department of Health – Licensing


  • Food safety licensing, food processing, and temporary food establishment requirements are critical components of Rhode Island regulations. For more information, visit https://health.ri.gov/licensing.


Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management


  • This department oversees agricultural permits, nursery licensing, and related environmental regulations. For details, check https://dem.ri.gov.


Rhode Island Division of Taxation


  • For sales tax registration and business tax requirements, you can refer to https://tax.ri.gov.


Rhode Island Secretary of State


  • This office manages business registration and corporate filings. For assistance, visit https://business.sos.ri.gov.


Vendors are responsible for determining which licenses, permits, registrations, and program authorizations apply to their products and the payment programs in which they choose to participate.


The Burrillville Farmers Market does not issue state licenses and cannot provide legal or regulatory advice regarding Rhode Island regulations.

SNAP/EBT Participation

SNAP / EBT Authorization

Individual SNAP/EBT authorization is not required to apply to BFMA. Approved eligible-food vendors may be able to accept SNAP/EBT through BFMA’s centralized market system.


Vendors who want to process SNAP/EBT independently must obtain and maintain their own USDA authorization.
